At the confluence of the Tweed and Teviot rivers, Kelso is a charming Borders town with a cobbled town square, cobbled streets, a variety of magnificent Georgian houses, and a wealth of beautiful landscape all around it. Spend some time exploring Floors Castle, a well-known stately home with dining areas and gardens that was created by William Adam. Mellerstain House, Kelso Abbey, and the Kelso races are all nearby as well. The best of Georgian architecture may be seen in Mellerstain House. It is the home of the 13th Earl of Haddington and was created in 1725 by the architect William Adam and his son Robert Adam.

Nice sized kitchen and bathroom. Log burner was very welcome. Amazon prime was great for the Christmas football matches. Located in the centre of the town, ideal for walking. Also visited the racecourse which was an easy walk. Lovely town and general area.
